What is the range of Iphone apps available on this site? This parameter evaluates the overall choice of apps available and gives extra points for any innovative techniques or categories..

Bare bone iphone review site

It was hard for us to determine the range of apps on this site, since they were listed so haphazardly, but we assume it’s somewhere in the hundreds. That isn’t a good thing by any stretch – quality over quantity.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..

Navigating the site was unruly and difficult thanks to a terrible organization scheme and hardly any menu functions.

Can we see a screenshot or preview of the Iphone app? If so, how many and how good is the screenshot quality?.

The included screenshots for each app were very low quality and they didn’t really showcase any of the app’s features at all. We found the iTunes App Store to be a much better resource for screenshots.

Chalk up another site to the list of totally unoriginal and uninspired iPhone app sites. Apprater.com brings nothing interesting to the table that we haven’t seen before.

App Rater.com doesn’t offer any useful social options either. A good start would have been to include a Twitter feed with links to the latest app reviews.

Ok, how good are the Iphone descriptions and content about these apps? Is there too much info or too little? Is the language easy to follow or boring technical jargon?.

The apps are all laid out bare, without any meaningful descriptions. Some were not even in English, and we couldn’t decipher which language they were.

What else can I do here? We gave extra points to sites with video, HD, multiplayer options, mobile, music makers and audio options..

No YouTube videos on this site at all, so App Rater.com gets a big fat 1 for the multimedia options category.
