iPhoneHacks.com is the place to go for all your jailbreaking needs, but we weren’t so comfortable voiding our warranties on a site that doesn’t seem to have anything together.

A new Form Factor

The site offers only two kinds of apps for iphone– Jailbreaking apps, which let you access the iPhone OS, and unlocking apps which let you use your phone with a different carrier.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..

The site’s terrible red layout and design make navigation difficult, and worst of all, it was hard to tell the difference between what was content and what was an advertisement.

The apps all have a few screenshots each, but nothing that really helps us understand how to use them or what they are for.

Why is it different to other iphone apps websites? We graded on originality and innovation..

These guys are always playing catch up to the true online iPhone jailbreaking innovators, the iPhone Dev Team. Most of the ‘hacks’ on this site seem to be lifted from other places on the web.

Don’t expect support for this risky procedure. In fact, iPhonehacks.com makes it very clear from the get go that they do not provide support in case something goes wrong.

How interactive is this site? Is there a Facebook Group? Twitter? RSS feeds? Linked In? Forum? We found out..

There wasn’t really much to see here as far as social options go. Usually, the iPhone developer community is known to be tight knit and community oriented, but this site disappointed on that account.

Ok, how good are the Iphone descriptions and content about these apps? Is there too much info or too little? Is the language easy to follow or boring technical jargon?.

When running a jailbreaking program on the iPhone, we would expect at least of minimum of explanation for those of us without computer science degrees. Sadly, none was found.

What else can I do here? We gave extra points to sites with video, HD, multiplayer options, mobile, music makers and audio options..
