One of the original internet radio stations, Pandora underwent many changes before releasing this popular iPhone music app.  It’s the oldest and best-known of the group, so let’s see how it compares in our Dozen categories challenge.

The music fininding Algorithm
The Pandora itunes finding algorithm doesn’t just “act” smart, it “looks” smart as the shuffles around your chosen tunes and tells you why it picks the songs it picks.

What is the concept of this Iphone app? How original is it? How will it enhance the life of iPhone users?.
This is one of the killer apps that Apple was waiting for.  It will completely change the way people listen to radio and hopefully put that formulaic Top 40 junk out of business.

Pandora answered our questions immediately, and they show they care about their community with a constant stream of bug fixes and app tweaks in response to user input.

Can we see a screenshot or preview of the Iphone app? If so, how many and how good is the screenshot quality?.
The screenshots on the Pandora site do a great job breaking down the different functions of the iPhone index app.  We especially liked how they used the screenshots as a mini-tutorial and advertisement for the service.

What else can I do here? We gave extra points to sites with video, HD, multiplayer options, mobile, music makers and audio options..
What separates Pandora from the lesser Internet radio apps out there is the deep multimedia functionality.  If you hear a song you like, you can buy it in only two clicks, or watch the video!

What is so great about Pandora, and probably its most loved feature, is the music recommendation engine that always introduces you to new bands and artists you never would have discovered on your own.
